INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY OF THE PROJECT

“EVERY STUDENT IS IMPORTANT” 

(16 -20 th, OCTOBER)

 IN VILNIUS, LITHUANIA

VILNIUS TUSKULENAI GYMNASIUM

The meeting of the project “EVERY STUDENT IS IMPORTANT” took place in Vilnius, Lithuania, on 16 – 20th of October, 2017. The partners from Spain, Cyprus, Turkey and Lithuania attended the meeting. The activities were organized by the Lithuanian Team. We had an excellent experience!

  • On Monday, October 16, the participants started the meeting with a visit to Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania, a national cultural institution which collects, organizes and preserves Lithuania’s written cultural heritage. Later the project partners enjoyed a walking tour of Vilnius Old Town – the oldest part of Vilnius. They had the opportunity to visit the most beautiful architectural masterpieces, including Vilnius University, the Roman Catholic St. Anne’s Church. The teams took part in a welcome ceremony organized by the students of Vilnius Tuskulenai Gymnasium. The partners enjoyed our students‘ songs. Afterwards, the partners presented their countries, schools and activities.

         

                                                                                                     

    •   On Tuesday, October 17, the project participants enjoyed the day trip to Kaunas – the second largest city in Lithuania. They visited Pažaislis monastery and church  – the largest monastery complex in Lithuania, and the most magnificent example of Italian Baroque architecture in the country Kaunas Castle – the oldest stone castle in Lithuania, M. K. Čiurlionis National Museum of Art and the most unique and the only Devils’ museum in the world 

  • The third work day, October 18, took place at school.  Hosting partners had to imply a lot of creativity to attract and involve visitors to participate in celebrating World Children’s Day.  The participants created slogans against discrimination, presented their posters “Children‘s rights”, designed the “Awareness Street”.   The partners had the Project Meeting, where they discussed the achieved results, talked about the updates to the website, the content of inclusive learning, agreed upon the future plans for further successful project implementation and evaluation.  

      

 

  •   On Thursday, October 19, our participants enjoyed day trip to Anykščiai. They visited the Treetop Walking Path, Horse Museum, Anykščiai st. Matthew’s Church, Puntukas Stone, and the Historical Complex of Šeimyniškėliai Mound. The quests took part in the workshop “Daily bread”. They had an opportunity to taste home – made Lithuanian bread.

 

   

  

  • On the last meeting day, October 20, the partners were fortunate to have the chance to visit Trakai, a beautiful resort town. They visited the medieval gothic style castle built on a island in the middle of the lake, home for history museum. Afterwards, the partners enjoyed participating in Soap Making Workshop. This workshop was simple, easy to follow, and lots of fun. The participants learnt how to make fun, colourful, fragrant bars that could be used the next day! Last evening hosts invited all the partners to the farewell dinner where they sang and danced with Lithuanian Folk music group Poringe.
